Classed as the UK's most popular challenge cycle route, the Sea to Sea route will take you from Whitehaven on the Irish Sea to Tynemouth, Newcastle, on the North Sea. Heading East will first take you through the spectacular Northern Lake District before climbing up and over the Pennines and descending down into Newcastle. This 150 mile route will take in a mixture of minor roads, disused railway lines and even some off-road tracks if that takes your fancy.
