John O'Groats to Land's End - 2026
Glynn Alner
My Story
Hello! My name is Glynn Alner, I'm 33 years old and this year I'm excited to take on an extraordinary 1020-mile journey from John O'Groats to Land's End with Bike the UK for MS, a cycling adventure dedicated to raising funds and awareness for Multiple Sclerosis (MS).
MS is close to home for me, unfortunately in December 2023 my Father, Andrew Alner, died after a long 6 year battle with the disease. Today, the space left in our family is remembered every day.
During his fight with MS I saw first hand the incredible work that MS charities provide, from wheelchairs, to experience days out, networking, home remodeling, winch beds, and so much more. The money really made a difference and helped make his life have purpose and comfort until the end.
By donating to the ride, you will play a vital role in supporting those affected by MS. My personal goal is to raise a minimum of £1,530, representing £1.50 for each mile I conquer. Your generous contribution will directly impact the lives of individuals living with MS, funding essential support services and contributing to groundbreaking research projects aimed at finding a cure. The total goal is £5'000.
I am honoured to be a part of this incredible organisation, but I cannot do it alone. Your donation, no matter the amount, will make a tangible difference. It will provide hope to those battling with MS and offer support to local MS groups across the country. Together, we can improve lives, raise awareness, and work towards a future free from the constraints of this challenging disease. Even if you cannot donate, please share the link to this page to raise awareness of the fundraising and MS itself.
Join me on this meaningful journey by making a donation today. Your support will inspire me as I face the physical and mental challenges of this demanding expedition. Together, let's pedal toward a brighter future, one filled with hope, resilience, and the possibility of a world without MS.
