My Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my fundraising page to help me give back to those who are helping me and others to live with MS.

I became unwell in 2022 and was diagnosed in January 2023 with Relapsing Remitting MS.  The emotional journey has been made all the more easier by the support network, information and empathy provided through MS charities and communities.

For a second year, I'm thrilled to be part of the Bike the UK for MS team riding Lon Las Cymru from Holyhead to Cardiff (approx 260miles) over four days (16-19 August). The challenge provides two objectives for me:

Firstly, the physical challenge.  Through completing the ride, I want to prove I can manage effectively to live with MS rather than be constrained or defined by the illness.

Secondly, I want to raise funds for MS research and support groups.  I recognize my journey is part of a bigger picture of people living with MS and we rely on a fabulous network of medical teams and support staffs, who regularly go above and beyond to help MS patients like me.  Funding is an ever present challenge (not least at the moment) and if you are able to help me achieve my target that would be so kind and much appreciated.

By donating to the ride, you will play a vital role in supporting those affected by MS. My personal goal is to raise a minimum of £520, representing £2 for each mile I conquer. Your generous contribution will directly impact the lives of individuals living with MS, funding essential support services and driving forward groundbreaking research projects aimed at finding a cure for MS.

Thank you for your support. PJ
