My Story
Hello! I'm thrilled to embark on an extraordinary 260-mile journey across Wales from Holyhead to Cardiff on the Lon Las Cymru route with Bike the UK for MS, a cycling adventure dedicated to raising funds and awareness for Multiple Sclerosis (MS).
More than 130,000 people in the UK live with multiple sclerosis, including my wife who was diagnosed with relapsing remitting MS in 2020.
MS is an unpredictable condition that affects your brain and spinal cord. In MS, the coating that protects your nerves (myelin) is damaged. This causes a range of symptoms like blurred vision and problems with how you move, think and feel.
Once diagnosed, MS stays with you for life, but treatments and specialists can help you to manage the condition and its symptoms.
By donating to the ride, you will play a vital role in supporting those affected by MS. My personal goal is to raise a minimum of £1040 - that's £4 for every mile. Your generous contribution will directly impact the lives of individuals living with MS, funding essential support services and driving forward groundbreaking research projects aimed at finding a cure.
I am honoured to be a part of this remarkable initiative, but I cannot achieve our goals alone. Your contribution, no matter the amount, will make a significant impact. It will bring hope to those facing the daily struggles of MS and contribute to raising awareness about this important cause.
Join me on this meaningful journey by making a donation today. Your support will fuel my determination as I face the physical and mental challenges of this demanding expedition.
Together, let's pedal toward a brighter future - one filled with hope, resilience, and the possibility of a world free from the constraints of MS.
