My Story
Here we go again - this time its the North Coast 500 - 2022!
This September I'll be taking on this epic adventure of riding round the north coast of Scotland (please google it - most people drive it). 548 miles across 57,000ft elevation in order to raise money for my local MS Society through Bike the UK for MS charity. We'll be camping every night along the way just to make the experience that bit harder but this year I'm praying for significantly less rain!
Some of you might remember I cycled John O'Groats to Lands End last year and absolutely loved it despite being wetter than an Otters pocket for most of the time! So if you could please support me again in my search for a drier journey I would really appreciate it.
I suffer myself from Relapsing Remitting Multiple Sclerosis and the MS Society has been great in helping me deal with my condition and I’d like to especially raise money for my local MS society so they can benefit from the extra funding. This is instrumental to them being able to provide group therapy's and activities which benefit the local MS community.
Money really does goes into pioneering therapy's along with ground-breaking research aids to help stop MS in its tracks. It's truly amazing what the MS Society have achieved in recent years.
I've been diagnosed 13 years now and have gone from times not being able to walk to current state of loving biking long miles. Fortunately, I am currently able to manage my condition and run a business and a young family. I manage my MS through exercise and medical interventions but basically I try my best to pretend I haven't got it.
If I can help raise awareness of MS and stop people automatically ‘putting you in a wheelchair’ whilst raising these funds by pushing myself to do this event then I really will be chuffed to bits. I'd be really grateful if you can help me.
Sincerely, thank you in advance.
